Veteran’s Memorial Day Celebration
The Veteran’s Memorial Day celebration will be held on May 29 at 11:00 a.m. weather permitting. In the event of rain, it will be held in the Citrus East building. Hot dogs, chips and water will be served after the ceremony. Please support our Veterans!
Maintenance and Park Updates
A lot of activity is going on by the maintenance department as they work on the list of improvements to Travelers Rest. The sod has arrived and #3 and #9 on the golf course are getting both tees and greens, #4 greens only and #1 tee only. Repairs to the Pickleball and Tennis courts is due to begin next week.
Compliance Letters
Compliance letters will be going out shortly for failure to meet lawn care maintenance and violations of other policies. There is a limit on the number of vehicles per lot and the time (3 days) allowed for extra trailers. Please note that Travelers Rest Resort has in place policy N2060 that includes fines and suspensions of resort amenities/activities for violations. This policy was recently updated and fines were increased. See the website or the posting at the post office for the updated version.
Board of Directors Summer Meetings
The Board of Directors will continue to meet during the summer. A number of policy changes were approved at the May 23, 2023 board meeting. These changes will be posted on the bulletin board at the post office, on the website and published in the TR Times during the winter season.
Key Card Requirements for Buildings & Restrooms
Key card requirements will be added this summer to include all the entrances to the buildings and restrooms. Now is a good time to get in the habit of carrying your card when you go around Travelers Rest.
Paved Walk to Dog Park Completed
The new paved walk to the primary dog park in RV South has been completed. The second dog park facility located on the north side of the Citrus Building has the new small dog times posted. Note that small dog time at both parks is at different times. Please adhere to posted hours. All dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets throughout the park.
